Old-Fashioned Brown Sugar Fudge - Sucre à la crème à l'ancienne

1 cup cream 35%
1 1/2 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 tbsp butter

Boil cream, brown sugar & sugar until mixture forms a soft ball when dropped into cold water.

Remove from heat and cool slightly for about 30 min.

Add 1 Tbsp butter, a pinch of salt and 1 tsp vanilla then beat until smooth and creamy, and mixture starts to thicken up.

Butter a pie plate. Pour mix & let it firm up. Cut into squares.

Ta photo donne le goût de le réessayer de nouveau!!

Hélène, thank you for that lovely recipe. I've tried so many times to make a perfect fudge - my Mom can - and just recently I bought this kind of fudge from a Farmer's Market.

I can't wait to try it!

Thanks for the recipe! I tried it today, but they seem to be slightly watery still. How long do I need to let them sit before serving?

Thanks for your help! I tried the recipe again, and it turned out perfect. I'm planning on making a large batch and giving them away as Christmas gifts.

J'ai un question pour toi. Comment est-ce que je prepare cette recette pour cette recette:

Tu as écrit que ce sucre à le crème pourrait être un glaçage pour ça gâteau
Merci
